Katie is a recent graduate from Bridgewater State University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts in Strategic Communication with a minor in Public Relations. Katie is currently a copy editor for Study.com but wanted to supplement her day job with impactful mission driven work.  Katie is also the founder, editor, and contributor to Cardroom Magazine - a community for poetry, art, writing, and photography.

When asked why she chose Girls on the Run Katie said, "It is extremely important to me that the work I do is actively helping to uplift marginalized voices, and I believe that the power of young girls and women is often overlooked. Unfortunately, young girls can internalize those preconceived societal notions about them, and I want to do everything I can do in my work to help reverse it and show them they are inherently strong and capable." 

Katie has been a true blessing to our small council in the few weeks she has been with us, she is just the spark that we need to tackle the growth ahead of us in Worcester County MA. We are greatful Katie has joined our small team!
